Measures 9 inches tall, 7 inches from the handle to the end of the spout, 4 inches diameter
Excellent Condition!! Polished and ready to display!
Dutch whale-oil lamp made out of Copper and brass with a Delft knob on the filler cap. Wide base keeps oil-filled lamp from tipping over. The top compartment holds the oil and a wick is inserted through the spout part and lit. In Holland, these little lamps originated they were called "SNOTNEUZEN" or snotnose in English because the thick oil would make the lamps sputter and spit and leak all over, but it beat having no light at all.
